Repair, draught sealing and restoration of traditional sash and case windows, West End Glasgow.

This is a traditional tenement flat and the windows are original sash and case, circa 1890. Over the years the windows were varnished and painted, to an extent that they were no longer functioning. Specifically, they could not be opened to allow ventilation.

Activities included paint and varnish stripping, replacing sash cords, weights and ironmongery, draught sealing sashes and parting beads and replacing mastic externally at window openings.
